We are looking for talented individuals to join our team to work hybrid (3 days a week) in our office of Montreal.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Character Artist to drive the visual direction and execution of character art across our projects. You will set quality benchmarks, and collaborate closely with Art Direction, Design, and Technical teams to bring compelling, high-quality characters to life
What you'll do
- Define and uphold the visual quality bar for all character assets
- Collaborate with our Art Director to establish and maintain character style, tone, and consistency
- Create high-quality character assets, including sculpting, modeling, texturing, and presentation
- Translate concept art and references into high-quality character models with minimal oversight ensuring that all in-game character assets are optimized
- Partner with a small team of hands-on directors working closely with Animation, Tech Art, Engineering, Gameplay Design and Art Direction
- Help define and improve pipelines, workflows, and best practices
- Participate in planning, estimation, and risk assessment for character art production
What you'll bring
- 7+ years of experience in the video game industry
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality, game-ready character work
- Expert knowledge of anatomy, form, proportion, and character design principles
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools
- Experience working with Unreal Engine
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
