What You Will Do:

We are seeking a hands-on Senior SharePoint and Microsoft 365 Solutions Engineer with deep expertise in SharePoint Online administration, governance strategy, and Power Platform integration. This role will lead the design, configuration, and implementation of secure, scalable Microsoft 365 solutions aligned to enterprise governance, compliance, and operational standards.

The ideal candidate will serve as both a technical lead and governance strategist, ensuring that SharePoint and Power Platform solutions are architected with strong information architecture, security models, lifecycle management, and tenant administration best practices. This individual will actively enhance enterprise Microsoft 365 environments with a focus on structured growth, risk mitigation, and long-term sustainability.

This role requires strong executive communication skills and the ability to present to senior leadership while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead SharePoint Online administration and enterprise governance strategy across the Microsoft 365 tenant
  • Drive Microsoft Power Platform implementations through discovery, architecture, build, testing, deployment, and governance alignment
  • Conduct current-state assessments and develop structured governance frameworks, operating models, and modernization roadmaps
  • Design enterprise information architecture, taxonomy, metadata strategy, site hierarchy, and role-based access models
  • Establish and enforce governance standards including site provisioning, lifecycle management, retention policies, compliance controls, and security administration
  • Implement and manage the Power Platform Center of Excellence CoE framework
  • Serve as Microsoft 365 and Power Platform SME for architecture, configuration, and security management
  • Develop governance documentation, administrative procedures, and knowledge transfer materials
  • Conduct stakeholder workshops and executive briefings
  • Support production environments and resolve governance or administrative issues
  • Participate in Agile or Hybrid-Agile ceremonies and provide status reporting

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum of FIVE (5) years of professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree 4-year degree required
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model, commuting to the client site 2 to 3 days per week
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
  • US Citizenship is contractually required
  • Strong experience in SaaS and PaaS environments, particularly Microsoft 365
  • Demonstrated expertise in SharePoint Online administration, permissions models, governance frameworks, and lifecycle controls
  • Knowledge of technical requirements development, documentation, and testing practices
  • Core technical skills include SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse CDS, SQL, .NET, and C#
  • Strong understanding of Power Platform CoE and governance components
  • Ability to communicate technical and governance concepts clearly to executive and non-technical audiences

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience supporting public sector or regulated environments
  • Experience within a consulting firm or Microsoft Solutions Partner
  • Experience developing enterprise governance councils and structured Microsoft 365 operating models
  • Agile or Hybrid-Agile delivery experience
  • Experience integrating SharePoint with Dynamics 365 or other enterprise systems

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$216,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
