About the Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer (Web, Cloud & AI-Enabled Development) to join our on-site team in North York, ON. In this role, you will develop and maintain web-based platforms that support robotic systems, enabling monitoring, control, and data-driven decision-making through cloud-connected applications.

This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys building end-to-end systems, working with real-world operational data, and collaborating closely with robotics, hardware, AI, and software teams.

The successful candidate is also expected to bring an AI-first engineering mindset and use modern AI tools across the software development lifecycle to improve productivity, code quality, testing, debugging, documentation, and solution design. Strong engineering judgment, ownership, and validation of AI-generated outputs are essential.

Note: This is an on-site only position. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full stack web applications that support robotic systems and operational workflows
• Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using modern web technologies such as React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and related frameworks
• Design and implement backend services, APIs, and integrations to support cloud-connected applications
• Support real-time communication using WebSockets, event-driven patterns, and API integrations
• Work with structured and unstructured data to support intelligent workflows and AI-powered capabilities
• Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, testing, refactoring, documentation, and technical research
• Validate and refine AI-generated outputs before implementation in production environments
• Contribute to improving development workflows, engineering practices, and internal productivity through the practical use of AI
• Debug, troubleshoot, and test applications across distributed systems and operational environments
• Collaborate closely with robotics engineers, hardware teams, AI teams, and software developers in an on-site setting
• Ensure reliable system performance, secure data handling, and maintainable application design

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in full stack web development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with React and/or Next.js
• Solid understanding of client-server architecture, RESTful APIs, and modern web application design
• Experience with backend development such as Node.js or similar server-side technologies
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments
• Experience working with databases, data processing, and application integration
• Practical experience using AI tools in software development workflows, including coding assistance, debugging, testing, documentation, or technical analysis
• Ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated code and technical recommendations
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team-based, on-site environment
• Good communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating AI services or APIs such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with LLM-powered applications, intelligent workflows, or AI-driven product features
• Experience building real-time systems using WebSockets or event-based architectures
• Exposure to robotics, IoT, or device-integrated platforms
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
