Reporter

Role Description This full-time, on-site Reporter role at Grupo KFC Ecuador is based in Haridwar. The Reporter will gather information from multiple sources, conduct interviews, and verify facts to produce accurate and timely news and feature stories related to the organization’s activities and community impact. Day-to-day responsibilities include attending events, tracking relevant local developments, preparing written reports, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging. The role also involves creating multimedia content such as photos, short videos, and social media posts, and adhering to editorial guidelines and ethical reporting standards. The Reporter will work closely with managers and communications staff to meet deadlines and support broader communication initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong reporting and news writing skills, with the ability to research, verify facts, and present information clearly and objectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to conduct interviews and interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in writing and storytelling for different formats, including short-form and long-form content.
• Experience with multimedia content creation, such as basic photography, video, and social media publishing.
• Ability to work on-site in Haridwar, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines.
• Relevant academic background in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with journalistic ethics, local context, and basic editorial standards.
• Comfort with using digital tools for research, content production, and collaboration.
