- *Here's the role**
- *Position Responsibilities**
Maintain secure, high-performing database environments through proactive monitoring, tuning, and lifecycle management (upgrades, patches).
Manage and optimize database schemas and structures across multiple environments, including consolidation, cleanup and maintenance on transactional and data warehouse databases.
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate database changes into CI/CD pipelines and perform data modeling.
Support and oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
Support reporting and analytics by enabling access and integrating data sources using SSRS, Power BI, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.
Govern database security by managing roles, permissions, and scheduled jobs in alignment with organizational standards.
Maintain accurate documentation of database structures, processes, and operational procedures.
Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Maintain an understanding of ETL workflows and reporting best practices.

Bachelor's degree, certificate or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration and management.
Strong knowledge of relational database systems on Microsoft SQL (On-premise and Azure)
Basic experience or familiarity with SSRS, Power BI, SSIS, Azure Data Factory for reporting and data integration tasks.
Experience with schema management, performance tuning, and security best practices including relational and dimensional data modeling.
Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.
