Job Description
Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator in Patuxent River, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuration, deployment and maintaining Windows servers, Windows 11 desktop systems, Network infrastructure and compliance with information assurance requirements. Candidate will create and maintain virtualized development environments. Candidate will support 200 users / 150 computer assets / printers / network connectivity in the building.

Essential Functions:
- Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
- Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
- Monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption.
- Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
- May supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists.
- Administer network security measures.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Obtaining a CompTIA Security+ certification prior to onboarding
- Knowledgeable / proficient in the use of Microsoft operating systems
- Troubleshoot tier 1 support issues
- Ability to manage / maintain various types of servers and security requirements
- Security conscious in all aspects
- Familiar with Azure and virtualization
- Resourceful / problem solving skills

Security Clearance
Active Interim Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain and a Top Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
Education
BS/BA degree required.
