Job Summary of AI Platform Engineer:

This role focuses on designing and implementing cloud based artificial intelligence solutions that support business operations and digital products. The position collaborates closely with engineering, data, and product teams to develop scalable AI services, build reliable data pipelines, and support the adoption of responsible AI practices. The role contributes to translating business needs into practical AI solutions while ensuring secure, efficient, and production ready systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of AI Platform Engineer:

• Design and implement cloud based AI services, APIs, and microservices that integrate machine learning models with internal platforms and data systems.
• Evaluate and recommend AI platforms and tools that support scalable and reliable solution development.
• Develop and manage automated workflows for training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning models.
• Build and optimize retrieval augmented generation solutions by curating knowledge sources and improving prompt performance.
• Develop reliable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and serving data features in collaboration with data engineering teams.
• Embed responsible AI practices including privacy protection, model risk assessment, bias monitoring, and secure data handling.
• Optimize system performance through capacity planning, monitoring, caching strategies, and cost management.
• Collaborate with product leaders, architects, and technical teams to translate business needs into technical designs and scalable solutions.
• Create templates, documentation, and reference implementations that enable teams to develop AI driven features efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience of AI Platform Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Extensive experience building production level software systems with several years focused on machine learning or artificial intelligence development.
• Strong programming expertise in Python and familiarity with languages such as C#, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience building and integrating REST based APIs and cloud native services.
• Hands on experience with Azure based AI technologies including Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI Service, and Azure AI Search.
• Knowledge of data systems including SQL databases, NoSQL systems, data lakes, and vector search technologies.
• Experience with machine learning operations including model versioning, evaluation frameworks, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, CI CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code tools.
• Understanding of security, governance, and compliance practices related to AI systems and data management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Salary:

• Annual salary range typically between $115000 and $135000 based on experience and qualifications.
