Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Systems/Network Engineer for our NIH-CIT Proposal. This position will be located in Rockville, MD and will be a hyrbid role.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering optimal availability and quality regarding the network routing and switching, IP security, the wide area network services
- Participate in daily stand ups and utilize the kanban methodology to triage and resolve incidents and problems within established SLAs
- As directed by senior engineers, participate in shift lead duties to serve as “queue managers” to ensure each escalated issue is efficiently assigned, actively being worked by expediting resolution and fulfillment to meet SLAs
- Assist with proactive measures such as network monitoring, analysis, maintenance/patching, and documentationProvide suggestions to management on continuous improvements in regards to communications, customer understanding, tools, technology, and equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant Network Services experience. CCNA/CCNP is desired. Experience with security is desired.
- Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
