Job Description

Overview

GovCIO is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your hands-on expertise in managing, securing, and optimizing large-scale M365 environments. You will be instrumental in architecting innovative cloud productivity solutions, spearheading modernization initiatives, and ensuring excellence in operations across collaboration, identity, and security workloads. This position is fully remote within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Tenant Administration: Manage the complete lifecycle of Microsoft 365 tenants, focusing on configuration, governance, and service health monitoring.
  • Exchange Online Management: Oversee mail flow, hybrid configurations, retention policies, and perform advanced troubleshooting.
  • SharePoint Online & OneDrive: Administer site collections, permissions, content lifecycle, and facilitate migration initiatives.
  • Teams Administration: Configure collaboration policies, manage voice features, compliance settings, and integration with other M365 services.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement data loss prevention, retention policies, eDiscovery, Insider Risk, and compliance frameworks.
  • PowerShell Automation: Develop PowerShell scripts to automate provisioning, reporting, and configuration tasks.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Utilize admin center, message center, and analytics tools to guarantee service reliability and performance.
  • User Support: Provide Tier 3 support for escalated issues across all M365 workloads.

Qualifications

High School Education with 9+ years of related experience.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in Microsoft 365 Administration at an enterprise scale.
  • Proficient in Azure AD/Entra ID identity and access management.
  • Strong skills in Exchange Online configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in Teams collaboration management.
  • Solid understanding of SharePoint Online architecture.
  • Experience with Security & Compliance Center administration and eDiscovery.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills.

Clearance Required: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain an EPA Public Trust.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience preferred.

Posted Salary Range

USD $125,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.

The posted salary range reflects the expected pay for this role at the time of hire, though compensation may vary based on factors such as market location, skills, education, and experience. Additional compensation elements may also be discussed during the hiring process.
