Job Title : Telecom Infrastructure Engineer

As a Telecom Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the telecommunications infrastructure that enables seamless communication and data transmission within and between various network components. You will work with a team of professionals to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of the telecom network.
Responsibilities
- Network Design and Planning:
Collaborate with network architects to design and plan telecom infrastructure that aligns with business requirements.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate hardware, software, and technologies for the telecom network.
Create detailed network diagrams and documentation.
- Installation and Configuration:
Install, configure, and maintain telecom hardware and software components such as routers, switches, gateways, and servers.
Perform initial setup, firmware upgrades, and troubleshooting of network devices.
- Network Monitoring and Maintenance:
Monitor network performance, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal network uptime.
Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and security measures.
- Capacity Planning:
Monitor network traffic patterns and anticipate future capacity requirements.
Scale the telecom infrastructure to accommodate growing demands and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Security and Compliance:
Implement security measures to safeguard the telecom infrastructure against unauthorized access, attacks, and data breaches.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to telecom networks.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
Respond to and resolve escalated technical issues related to the telecom infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems.
- Vendor Management:
Collaborate with telecom vendors to procure equipment, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of services and products.
Maintain relationships with vendors to stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends.
- Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.

- Disaster Recovery Planning:
Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of network failures or outages.
- Training and Mentoring:
Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
Stay current with emerging technologies and share knowledge with the team. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Telecom Infrastructure Engineer or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of telecom protocols, network architecture, and telecommunication technologies.
Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Strong understanding of security protocols and best practices for telecom networks.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., FCC regulations, GDPR, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus.
