Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or equivalent practical experience.
- 13 years of experience in system, design troubleshooting, advocating for customer needs, and triaging technical issues (e.g., hardware, software, application, operational, process).
- Experience reading code in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, JavaScript) or in system design.
- Active, or the ability to obtain, a Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Google Workspace admin console managing users, services, and security settings.
- Familiarity with general cloud computing concepts and the Google Cloud ecosystem.
- Understanding of security protocols, data privacy, and how to maintain the security of the Google Workspace domain.
- Ability to provision, manage, and secure user access, create and manage groups, and configure Organizational Units (OUs).
- Excellent skills in controlling and configuring core Google Workspace services like Gmail, Drive, and Calendar.

As a Workspace Strategic Cloud Engineer (SCE), you are a Google Engineer working with Google's most critical Cloud customers. You will support customer implementation of Google Workspace through migration planning, architecture guidance, best practices, user/data migration, interoperability, capacity planning, implementation troubleshooting, monitoring, and much more. You will advocate on behalf of our customers internally to improve our products and our customers journeys in Google Workspace.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$254,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
- Lead deployment planning workshops to scope customer migrations to Google Workspace (GWS), including capabilities, timelines and risks.
- Develop technical architecture to document integrations specific to customer environments.
- Conduct super administrator functions to configure and troubleshoot customer implementations, including networking, identity, security, integrations, etc.
- Project and capture new customer feature requests unique to US Public Sector and interact with GWS Product and Engineering teams to scope deliver.
- Provide subject matter expertise for GWS pre-sales and delivery projects for high priority customer engagements.
