Job Description
Job Title: Software Developer
Location: Google, Montreal, QC, Canada
Mid-Level Position
Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience with iOS development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience with programming in Objective-C, Swift, and C++.
- Experience shipping end-user features and owning the rollout and impact analysis.
- Experience with building AI-powered features.
- Knowledge of iOS UI frameworks, Model–View–Presenter (MVP) application design, and reactive touch-based UI.
- Knowledge of iOS mobile application development.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement new user-facing features in Chrome for iOS.
- Collaborate with designers to create innovative user experiences. Develop prototypes quickly to validate interactions and product designs.
- Optimize applications to maximize speed and scale, factoring in mobile network latency and bandwidth constraints.
- Add automated tests to validate features and help our manual testers build a test plan for them.
- Work in the open-source Chromium repository as well as Google’s proprietary code base.
