Google Cloud Platform Architect

Job Description of Duties

• Expert with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) core services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, etc.) and demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply GCP services effectively.
• Extensive experience in cloud architecture design and best practices Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Deployment Manager).
• Ability to automate deployment pipelines (CI/CD) Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for cloud environments.
• Understanding of cloud migration strategies and hybrid cloud integration.
• Designing secure access controls and role-based permissions (IAM)Implementing network security (firewalls, VPNs, private connectivity).
• Knowledge of data encryption at rest and in transit.
• Experience with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., PIPEDA, GDPR) Security monitoring, vulnerability assessment, and incident response on GCP.
• Developing and enforcing security policies and best practices.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong foundational security principles and the ability to rapidly upskill in GCP-specific security controls.
• Project management experience in large-scale, enterprise-level IT/cloud projects.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional and distributed teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Expertise in change management and user adoption strategies.
• Experience with documentation, knowledge transfer, and onboarding processes.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture principles and governance Risk management and mitigation planning for cloud initiatives.
