Job Role: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Hyderabad

Experience: 6-9 years

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to manage, optimize, and scale enterprise cloud infrastructure within Amazon Web Services. The candidate should bring strong expertise in infrastructure automation, container orchestration, CI/CD, disaster recovery planning, security & compliance, and cloud migration initiatives.

This role requires hands-on leadership in managing production environments, improving reliability, implementing BCP/DR strategies, and driving infrastructure modernization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS or self-managed)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform
• Lead cloud migration initiatives (on-prem to AWS / cross-cloud)
• Implement and test Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies
• Monitor infrastructure, applications, and system performance using cloud-native and third-party tools
• Ensure system security, compliance, and regular patching
• Manage container lifecycle, upgrades, and image security
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline deployment processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6-9 years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering roles
• Strong hands-on expertise with:
• AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Load Balancers, etc.)
• Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
• CI/CD tools like Jenkins
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

Experience in:

• Docker containerization and lifecycle management
• Cloud migration and infrastructure modernization
• BCP/DR planning, implementation, and testing
• Infrastructure and application monitoring
• Database experience with:
• RDS (MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server)
• PostgreSQL

Strong scripting skills:

• Bash, Python, or Shell scripting

Good understanding of:

• Networking concepts (DNS, VPN, Load Balancing)
• Security best practices and compliance standards

Preferred / Add-On Skills:

• Exposure to Microsoft Azure
• Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments
• PostgreSQL performance tuning
• Kubernetes security hardening
• AWS cost optimization and governance (Cost Explorer, Budgets)

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to lead initiatives and work in fast-paced environments
