GCRS is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Officer for EU Chemicals to support global clients in navigating complex European regulatory frameworks. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with EU REACH, CLP, and GHS regulations, supporting product safety, market access, and regulatory risk mitigation.
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in chemical compliance, SDS authoring, PCN submissions, and regulatory project coordination, along with experience working in multinational environments.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Strategy
- Ensure compliance with EU REACH Regulation, CLP Regulation, and GHS standards
- Manage pre-registration, registration, and notification processes for chemical substances
- Conduct chemical safety assessments and risk evaluations
- Monitor regulatory updates and assess impact on client portfolios
Safety Data Sheets (SDS) & Documentation
- Author, review, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) in compliance with EU regulations
- Ensure alignment of SDS with hazard classification, exposure scenarios, and labeling requirements
- Maintain high compliance KPIs across product portfolios
PCN & Product Notifications
- Manage Poison Centre Notifications (PCN) submissions via ECHA portal
- Coordinate product notifications and regulatory filings across EU jurisdictions
- Support EU Ecolabel dossier preparation and submission (if applicable)
Product Compliance & Labeling
- Review and approve product labels in line with CLP requirements
- Ensure consistency between SDS, labels, and technical documentation
- Support artwork compliance and packaging requirements
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with R&D, Toxicology, QA, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams
- Act as a key regulatory interface for global clients and internal stakeholders
- Support supplier compliance and raw material documentation review
Systems & Data Management
- Utilize tools such as IUCLID, Chesar, SAP EHS, and Chemdox for regulatory data handling
- Maintain accurate regulatory records and documentation systems
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in EU chemical regulatory affairs
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- REACH and CLP compliance
- SDS authoring and management
- PCN submissions
- Chemical risk assessment

- In-depth knowledge of EU REACH, CLP, and GHS frameworks
- Strong expertise in SDS/MSDS preparation and product labeling compliance
- Experience in regulatory submissions and notifications
