AZ/DZ Driver (Afternoon Shifts)

GFL Environmental is currently seeking to add safe and talented AZ and DZ Drivers to our growing team out of Kitchener. The AZ /DZ Driver will collect various solid wastes from different customer sites. We are dedicated to providing a safe and positive workplace to all of our employees.

This is an Afternoon Shift (1:30 pm until midnight) Monday to Friday and some weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of truck and equipment that fits a DZ or AZ license.

• Will be required to load and unload trucks.

• Required to complete all necessary paperwork and government documents.

• Speaking with the customers and verifying they are satisfied with our service.

• Keeping in close contact with supervisor/dispatcher is required on a daily basis.

• You will generally work without direct supervision but will always be part of a team that works together to make sure all customers are serviced in a professional and timely manner.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

• Valid AZ/DZ license, clean drivers abstract and CVOR

• Manual dexterity, ability to lift 75+ lbs. required

• Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors

• Mechanical aptitude

• Overtime as required
