Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Carpenter Apprentice, Journeyman Carpenter & Labourers to join our skilled team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the carpentry field while learning from a Journeyman Carpenter. As a Carpenters Apprentice, Labourer or Journeyman Carpenter, you will assist in various construction projects, including installation, restoration, and fabrication tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in carpentry and related trades.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the construction, installation, and repair of structures made from wood and other materials.
• Learn to operate power tools safely and effectively under the guidance of experienced carpenters.
• Participate in the restoration of existing structures, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Aid in the installation of roofs, framing, and other essential components of construction projects.
• Support tasks involving electrical work and construction painting as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
• Follow safety protocols to minimize risks on job sites.

Requirements

• A strong interest in carpentry or related fields such as electrical work or construction painting.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry principles is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in carpentry is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is advantageous.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve lifting heavy materials or standing for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for travel between job sites.
• Previous plumbing or electrical experience is a bonus but not mandatory.
