Job description

Who are we?

At Gen (NASDAQ: GEN), an S&P 500 company, we strive to give everyone the power to explore our shared digital world freely and safely. Today, Gen is one of the largest consumer digital-safety and financial-wellness companies, safeguarding more than 500M people worldwide and protecting their digital data, identity, privacy, and financial lives across the Norton, Avast, AVG, LifeLock, MoneyLion, and Avira brands. Our team is working to help shape the digital world to be a freer, fairer, and safer place through the application of science, technology, and human ingenuity, and we are looking for people who share our passion for contributing to a better online world.

How do we work?

This is a hybrid role expecting 3 days in the office per week at our New York, NY location. You’ll join MoneyLion, Gen’s financial-wellness platform that helps millions of people take control of their money, build credit, and grow a healthier financial life.

About the role

As Product Growth & Experimentation Manager, User Lifecycle, you’ll play a pivotal role on MoneyLion’s Growth & Retention team, driving user and revenue growth across the entire customer lifecycle. We are a customer-obsessed, data-driven group focused on delivering exceptional user experiences while unlocking meaningful monetization opportunities. Our mission is to strike the optimal balance between user value and business performance - by continually refining how, when, and where we engage users from activation through monetization, retention, and expansion.

This role sits at the intersection of product, growth, and experimentation. You’ll own the experimentation and automation backbone that every lifecycle journey runs on - the testing framework that proves incremental impact, and the decisioning / automation layer (AID, Hightouch, Iterable) that powers personalized engagement at scale. You’ll set the objectives and guardrails our AI decisioning and AI agents operate within, design the experiments that prove what works, and turn results into the next round of automation.

This is a high-impact individual-contributor role that requires close, collaborative partnership with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Creative, and the lifecycle journey managers. You’ll need strong strategic thinking, flawless execution, and a proactive mindset to push initiatives forward that directly contribute to our long-term growth objectives.

What you’ll do

  • Build and own MoneyLion’s experimentation framework - holdouts, CRO, and A/B testing - and the incrementality and attribution methodology used across every lifecycle pillar (activation, monetization, retention, expansion).
  • Own the decisioning / automation layer: AID / Hightouch orchestration, eligibility, frequency, routing, and guardrails feeding Iterable, in-app, and ads.
  • Independently lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives across multiple growth and monetization touchpoints in the MoneyLion experience.
  • Enhance performance - analyze user funnels, execute A/B tests, and optimize journeys to maximize conversion, monetization, and retention.
  • Champion a test-and-learn culture - drive experimentation, promote data-first thinking, and lead innovation to accelerate growth.
  • Partner with each lifecycle journey manager to design tests that prove (or disprove) decisioning lift versus business-as-usual, and translate readouts into concrete automation improvements.
  • Support monetization and pricing decisions across first purchase, upsell, retention, and reactivation experiences with rigorous experiment design and clean reads.
  • Supervise and continuously improve the AI agents (rapid response, monitoring & forecasting, quality supervision) and set the guardrails they operate within.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and solve business, data, and technical challenges without needing step-by-step direction.

What you’ll need to be successful

  • 7+ years in growth marketing, product-led growth, marketing analytics, experimentation, or marketing automation / martech, with a track record of driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Deep experimentation expertise - incrementality design, attribution, and the statistical rigor to interpret significance and guide decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation / decisioning platforms (Iterable / Braze, Hightouch, AID, or similar) and a modern data stack (Snowflake, Amplitude, Segment).
  • Proven ability to scale revenue and user base through lifecycle optimization and data-informed product enhancements.
  • Advanced experience with segmentation, cohort analysis, retention modeling, and lifetime value (LTV) frameworks.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - thrives in ambiguity, operates with urgency, prioritizes impact over process, and pushes initiatives forward without waiting for perfect clarity.
  • Strong communicator able to distill complex data and measurement into clear, compelling stories for stakeholders and executives.
  • Operates with full ownership and accountability - takes initiative, removes blockers, and sees projects through from start to finish.
  • Comfort operating AI / ML decisioning and supervising AI agents and automated workflows.

Location: NYC Office (Onsite 3 days per week)

The annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $160,000 and $185,000. Base salary is one component of Gen's total compensation package, which includes 401(k) match, health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off. Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies related to the role.
