About the role
Gartner is looking for well-rounded and skilled software engineer to join the Gartner’s Peer Insights Team. You will be part of highly motivated agile team driven by innovation and collaboration. As part of Peer Insights and Product Technology team, you will work on the high-performance web development environments using cutting edge web technologies. You will work in a multi-cloud environment and use containerized pipelines for applications.
What you will do:
- Design, implement, test, and support applications using React, Next.js, Java, TypeScript, and PL/SQL.
- Build high-performance, modular, and extensible customer-facing web applications.
- Apply deep knowledge of UI frameworks and best practices to deliver responsive, multi-platform solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and propose solution options using industry best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and peer inspections to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Prepare clear and thorough technical documentation for developed features and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business value and improve processes.
- Ensure applications meet security, maintainability, and system standards.
- Perform production support and maintenance activities when required.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience developing customer-facing web applications.
- Strong experience with React, Next.js, Java, TypeScript, and UI-focused development.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles, software architecture, and best practices.
- Experience with responsive design and building applications across multiple platforms.
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and application security fundamentals.
- Familiarity with ElasticSearch, Valkey, or other caching/indexing technologies is a plus.
- Proven ability to deliver systems with strong UX, maintainability, and operational quality.
