About GameSheet

GameSheet is one of North America’s leading sports technology platforms, helping leagues, associations, teams, officials, and administrators manage competitions more efficiently. Our platform powers scheduling, live scoring, statistics, standings, league operations, and digital experiences used across amateur and professional sports organizations throughout Canada and the United States.

We are passionate about building technology that improves the experience for sports organizations, game officials, administrators, and participants. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for experienced engineers who want to help shape the future of sports technology.

Applications without a cover letter (short is fine) will not be considered.

Role Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer (Platform & DevOps), you will work closely with our Product, Engineering, and QA teams to design, build, deploy, and operate the systems that power game scoring, league operations, statistics, and real-time sports experiences.

You’ll help build and operate the platform that powers thousands of live sporting events across North America. Your work will span modern React applications, backend services written in TypeScript and Go, PostgreSQL databases, cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, and the CI/CD pipelines that keep our platform reliable, scalable, and secure.

This is a hands-on engineering role. You’ll spend the majority of your time writing production code while helping shape the architecture, reliability, and long-term technical direction of our platform. We value engineers who enjoy solving difficult technical problems, continuously improving systems, and taking ownership beyond writing code.

Because we operate as a lean, highly collaborative engineering organization, we’re looking for someone who enjoys ownership, takes initiative, and is comfortable moving fluidly between application development, data, cloud infrastructure, and operational excellence.

  • Develop scalable backend APIs and services using Node.js and Go
  • Build new features from concept through production release

  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and modern deployment practices
  • Manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
  • Deploy and operate containerized workloads using Docker and Cloud Run
  • Improve platform reliability, scalability, security, observability, and cloud cost efficiency
  • Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and operational dashboards
  • Participate in incident response and production troubleshooting
