Job Description

As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) at Gainwell, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and integration of database solutions to support business needs. Your role as a Senior Qualified DBA will involve driving performance tuning initiatives, ensuring data security, and implementing backup and recovery strategies. It is important to note that this role does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI) & Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or any secured/confidential client data, and is limited to application development & demo.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Monitor database activity and file usage to ensure necessary resources are available
  • Define logical attributes and data inter-relationships to enhance performance
  • Optimize database accessibility by developing load balancing architectures and backup processes
  • Lead technical projects for database installations and upgrades
  • Integrate databases with commercial off-the-shelf software and resolve conflicts
  • *Qualifications Required:**
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Approximately 10+ years of IT experience with at least 7 years in an Oracle DBA role
  • Experience with computer hardware and software installation/upgrading
  • Proficiency in database creation techniques and DBMS features
  • Strong skills in performance tuning
