Cybersecurity, Compliance, Cloud Infrastructure & IT Support Engineer

Position Overview

This role will be responsible for managing and securing the company’s entire IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure cloud services, cybersecurity systems, user access management, Power BI data infrastructure, workflow automation systems, and endpoint support.

The engineer will ensure the organization maintains a secure, compliant, and reliable technology environment while also supporting day-to-day IT needs such as device management, permissions, system security, and internal collaboration tools.

The role will also support Power BI data infrastructure and workflow automation systems used for operational dashboards and internal processes.

Core Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

Manage and maintain the company’s cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities Include:

• Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) administration
• Azure virtual machines and cloud resources
• Azure storage and database security
• Azure monitoring and alerts
• Azure Key Vault and secrets management
• cloud infrastructure optimization and reliability
• secure cloud architecture and access management

Cybersecurity Implementation:

Design and implement strong cybersecurity protections across all systems.

Responsibilities Include:

• identity and access management
• multi-factor authentication enforcement
• endpoint security
• Microsoft Defender configuration
• security monitoring and threat detection
• vulnerability scanning and remediation
• security incident response

The goal is to maintain a secure environment protecting company and employee data.

Compliance & Data Protection:

Implement systems that support compliance requirements related to:

• healthcare data protection standards
• HIPAA security practices
• federal contract security expectations

Responsibilities Include:

• audit logging
• access control policies
• data protection policies
• security monitoring systems
• documentation of security procedures and controls

Microsoft 365 & SharePoint Administration:

Manage the company’s Microsoft environment including:

• Microsoft Teams
• SharePoint Online
• OneDrive
• Outlook / Exchange
• Microsoft security tools
• Power Platform services

Responsibilities Include:

• user account management
• permissions management
• SharePoint governance
• document access control
• collaboration system configuration
• environment security and governance

SharePoint Document Management:

Design and maintain a structured SharePoint document management system.

Responsibilities Include:

• department SharePoint sites
• document libraries
• version control policies
• secure document storage
• document retention policies
• permission structure and access controls

Key Documents Include:

• employee onboarding records
• credentialing documentation
• compliance documentation
• contract documentation
• financial records

Power BI Data Infrastructure Support:

Support the infrastructure used for Power BI dashboards and analytics systems across the company.

Responsibilities Include:

• managing secure data connections for Power BI
• supporting SQL databases and data sources used for dashboards
• ensuring secure access control to business dashboards
• supporting integration between Power BI, SharePoint, and Azure data services
• assisting with performance monitoring of reporting systems

Workflow Automation Support:

Support workflow automation across Microsoft systems.

Responsibilities Include:

• assisting with automation infrastructure using Power Automate
• managing system permissions for automated workflows
• maintaining secure integrations between systems
• supporting automated processes across Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook

Examples Of Workflows May Include:

• employee onboarding processes
• credentialing document tracking
• compliance alerts
• timesheet approvals
• document approval workflows

Desktop Support & Endpoint Management:

Provide IT support for company devices and users.

Responsibilities Include:

• laptop setup and configuration
• device security policies
• remote device management
• VPN configuration
• patch management
• troubleshooting technical issues
• endpoint security monitoring

Technical Skills Required:

Strong experience with:

• Microsoft Azure
• Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
• Microsoft 365 administration
• SharePoint Online
• Microsoft Defender
• endpoint security systems
• identity and access management
• network security fundamentals
• Power BI infrastructure support
• Power Automate workflow environments

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator
• Microsoft Security Engineer
• CISSP / CEH / Security+
• Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator

Minimum

Experience Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in IT infrastructure or cybersecurity
• 3+ years experience with Azure or Microsoft cloud systems
• experience managing Microsoft 365 environments
• experience supporting Power BI or data analytics environments
• experience supporting workflow automation tools such as Power Automate
