Sales Associate/Cashier

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Full-time Sales Associate/Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, possess strong communication skills, and have a passion for technology and product demonstrations. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or technical sales are highly valued. The Sales Associate will be responsible for providing exceptional service, upselling products, and maintaining an organized sales environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits of various items, especially in technology sales
• Provide knowledgeable advice on product specifications, usage, and compatibility
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and perform cashiering duties including cash handling and receipt issuance
• Upsell complementary products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain merchandising standards by restocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store is inviting
• Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
• Keep track of inventory levels and communicate stock needs to management
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
• Uphold high standards of communication skills, phone etiquette, and organizational skills to ensure smooth store operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, or technical sales preferred
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
• Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
• Knowledge of retail merchandising standards and customer service best practices
• Ability to perform product demos confidently and engagingly
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work full-time hours including weekends if necessary; flexibility is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly attitude and good phone etiquette
