At Freshworks, we believe exceptional user experiences begin with exceptional engineering. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll build fast, accessible, and intuitive interfaces across our global product suite. 

You'll partner closely with design, product, and backend teams to turn complex workflows into seamless user experiences and take pride in crafting UI that feels smooth, responsive, and reliable. 

What You'll Do: 

• Build modular, reusable UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks (primarily React) 
• Translate product and design requirements into clean, scalable frontend solutions
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver features end-to-end 
• Improve performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across browsers and devices 
• Debug complex UI issues and ensure a consistent experience across environments 
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-test code 
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to frontend best practices 

• 3-5 years of experience building frontend applications in a product environment 
• Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with React (or similar component-based frameworks) and component-driven development 
• Solid understanding of performance optimization and web accessibility basics 
• Experience integrating with APIs and working with backend services 
• Ability to debug and solve UI issues across browsers
• Familiarity with tools like Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse, Jest, or Storybook 
• Comfortable working with designers and product managers to refine UX 

Nice to Have: 

• Experience with TypeScript and modern build tools 
• Exposure to design systems and reusable component libraries 
• Understanding of frontend security best practices 
• Familiarity with performance profiling or large-scale applications 

Please note this is a hybrid role with onsite expectations of 3x/week (Tuesday - Thursday) from our San Mateo, CA headquarters. 

The annual base salary range for this position is $127,500 - $157,500. 

Compensation is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills, and level. Bonus/equity may be available.
