WordPress / PHP Developer Needed - CustomDevelopment Role

We're looking for an experienced WordPress Developer with strong PHP expertise to support a custom development project. This is a technical role focused on clean coding and backend functionality - not a basic page builder position.

Responsibilities

• Custom WordPress theme and plugin development
• Working with PHP, MySQL, and WordPress core architecture
• Modifying and extending existing codebases
• Creating custom post types (CPT), taxonomies, and meta fields
• Developing custom functionality using hooks, filters, and REST API
• Optimizing performance, database queries, and site speed
• Ensuring secure coding practices and WordPress standards compliance
• Troubleshooting bugs and maintaining clean version-controlled code

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of PHP (OOP preferred), HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Deep understanding of WordPress template hierarchy, , WP_Query
• Experience with custom plugins and third-party API integrations
• Familiarity with WooCommerce (if applicable)
• SEO-friendly development practices
• Experience working with staging environments and hosting setups
