Senior Full-Stack Engineer to Audit, Secure, and Refactor Existing Claude Code App

We are looking for a senior engineer to review and clean up an internal app that was quickly built using Claude Code.

The app currently runs locally on a Mac Mini and uses tools such as GitHub and Clerk authentication.

This is not a from-scratch build.

We need someone who can step into an existing codebase, evaluate the architecture, identify technical and security risks, and help make the app production-ready.

Our priorities are code quality and maintainability, secure authentication and permissions, safe handling of sensitive internal or personal data, proper GitHub and version control practices, and overall architecture cleanup with clear documentation.

You should be comfortable auditing existing code, identifying risks, and implementing practical improvements.

Ideal background includes senior full-stack development experience, strong knowledge of authentication and application security, experience with React, , or TypeScript, experience working with GitHub workflows and modern deployment environments, and experience inheriting and stabilizing an existing codebase.

We will likely start with a short paid audit phase, followed by implementation of recommended fixes.

Contract duration of 1 to 3 months.
