  • Collaborate with Technology and Software Platform teams to develop cloud infrastructure solutions for the Ford Enterprise, encompassing hosting, computing, databases, and networks.
  • Define, analyze, and integrate components to deliver effective infrastructure patterns for the business, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Bring hands-on experience with OpenShift/GKE and GCP services including Containers, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Big Query, and Cloud Storage.
  • Design, build, and maintain robust GCP infrastructure to support high-performance, scalable, and secure cloud-native applications.
  • Utilize application development skills with technologies such as Java, Springboot, and Python.
  • Work alongside other teams to seamlessly integrate GCP services into our overarching IT architecture.
  • Stay updated with the latest GCP technologies and best practices, providing recommendations for continuous enhancement.
  • Develop and document GCP infrastructure and deployment processes, while leveraging REST API, Agile tools, DevOps methodologies, Git, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Kubernetes.
  • Engage with development teams to implement best practices for deploying and managing applications on GCP.
  • Monitor and refine the performance of GCP resources, troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues as necessary.
  • Support the creation of technical documentation and maintain open communication channels, sharing expertise and recommending best practices.
  • Demonstrate experience with public cloud service offerings across Compute, Storage, Network, and AI.
  • Build big data solutions while ensuring the security and compliance of our GCP environment, focusing on Cloud security standards and Identity and Access management.
  • Engage in Serverless design, implement CaaS, IaaS security compliance, and monitor infrastructure, networking, and storage management.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • At least 8 years of experience in IT or related fields, showcasing progressive responsibilities.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native GCP and hybrid cloud environments, including designing and managing Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with scripting and automation in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • 3+ years of application development experience using Java, Springboot, Python, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.
  • Experience working in data centers is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments is essential.

This position has a salary grade from 5 to 8, ranging from $66,660 to $190,500.
