Job Title: Phone IT Specialist (Remote Call Center Systems implementation)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Phone IT Specialist to design, implement, and manage cloud-based phone systems for a remote workforce. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up VoIP systems and call center platforms, ensuring smooth communication and high system performance for distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, configure, and maintain cloud-based phone systems (VoIP) for remote teams
- Implement and manage call center solutions including IVR, call routing, queues, and call flows
- Integrate phone systems with CRM and other business applications
- Monitor system performance and resolve call quality or connectivity issues
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for phone-related issues
- Manage user accounts, extensions, permissions, and system updates
- Ensure data security, compliance, and system reliability
- Optimize inbound and outbound call workflows for efficiency
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with VoIP platforms (e.g., RingCentral, 8x8, Zoom Phone, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of SIP, PBX systems, and call routing protocols
- Experience setting up and managing remote call center environments
- Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, firewalls, bandwidth management)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with CRM integrations (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Good communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in networking, VoIP, or related technologies
- Experience with automation tools and workflow optimization
- Previous experience supporting remote or distributed teams
Work Environment
- Fully remote position
- Collaborative and fast-paced work environment
Job-Related Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST
- Full-time role (40 hours per week)
- Fixed shift with availability required during working hours
- Occasional flexibility required for system maintenance or urgent issues
- Minimal weekend work (only for critical support or scheduled upgrades)
