Manufacturing Technologist

Manufacturing Technologist is responsible for developing manufacturing procedures and work instructions. Also, he contributes to manufacturing process improvement.

I. Job Description

• Manufacturing work instructions (work instructions can be a written document, illustrations or videos)

1.1 Create or modify valves assembly work instructions.

1.2 Create or modify valves pressure and functional testing work instructions.

1.3 Create or modify cleaning, surface preparation, coating and painting instructions.

1.4 Create or modify valves packing work instructions.

1.5 Create or modify machining instructions including set-up.

1.6 Create or modify receiving, in process and final inspection procedures.

1.7 Create or modify any other manufacturing instructions (such storage, special cleaning,

equipment maintenance, etc.).

1.8 Keep up to date all procedures and work instructions that are available on workstations.

• Tooling inventory

2.1 Make inventory of machining jigs.

2.2 Build data base for testing jigs.

2.3 Make inventory of assembly tooling.

2.4 Make inventory of Stamping tools (for metal diaphragms).

2.5 Assist local foundry to keep the mold inventory list up to date.

• Machines allocation

3.1 Make parts list for each workstation in machining area (lathe, milling, …).

3.2 Make valves list for each assembly hydraulic press.

3.3 Record valves list for each test machine.

• Liaison between engineering department and the plant:

4.1 Report to engineering any event from the plant that requires technical input or trouble shooting.

II. Job Requirements

• DEC in mechanical or industrial engineering / Technician
• French and English.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Communication skills.
• Team worker.
• Detail oriented
• At least five years’ experience in industrial field

Pay: $30.00-$48.27 per hour
