Job Description
Role Overview
The Strategic Procurement Analyst is an early-career professional role within the Americas Procurement Strategy team. The position contributes to supplier intelligence, pricing analysis, sourcing execution support, and procurement reporting that directly enable informed sourcing and commercial decisions across Fluence’s renewable energy projects This role works closely with the Strategy Procurement lead, and cross-functional partners to support sourcing initiatives, supplier evaluations, and data-driven insights in a fast-paced, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- The Strategic Procurement Analyst supports data and supplier intelligence activities by collecting and organizing supplier pricing, lead time, and capability data. The role supports analysis of pricing trends and cost drivers under guidance from senior team members and maintains supplier databases and sourcing tools to enable informed procurement decisions.
- The role provides RFQ and sourcing event support by consolidating and comparing supplier bids and supporting supplier qualification and documentation throughout sourcing activities.
- The analyst supports reporting and pipeline visibility by updating and maintaining procurement dashboards and pipeline reports using existing templates, as well as supporting spend tracking and basic supplier performance reporting.
- This position collaborates closely with cross-functional partners by working with Sales Engineering and Demand Planning for data collection and aligning sourcing activities with project procurement and execution teams.
- The role also supports process improvement and compliance efforts by documenting procurement processes and SOP updates and assisting with supplier onboarding and compliance documentation.
Required Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis and structured problem-solving
Additional Skills
- 1 to 2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or a related analytical role
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Basic experience with Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis
- Exposure to Power BI or similar reporting and analytics tools
- Interest in renewable energy, infrastructure, or technically complex supply chains
- Understanding of supplier cost structures, pricing models, and commercial terms
- Familiarity with RFQ processes, bid evaluations, and supplier selection frameworks
- Interest in cross-functional collaboration across engineering, sales, and operations
- Willingness to learn procurement systems, analytics tools, and performance reporting
