Flamingo Aerospace seeks an experienced Social Media Manager to lead our digital presence across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook and the corporate website. This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for strategy, content planning, editorial quality, creative execution and performance measurement to position Flamingo as a leading voice in aerospace.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media and content strategy aligned with corporate objectives (brand positioning, lead generation, PR amplification, thought leadership).
- Create and manage an editorial calendar; produce high-quality social copy, content briefs and campaign plans.
- Oversee creative execution: design assets (post images, carousels, thumbnails, infographics), adapt formats for platform specifications, and commission external designers/agencies where required.
- Publish, schedule and manage platform presence; ensure timely amplification of leadership announcements, PR activity and product updates.
- Build and manage community engagement and stakeholder interactions; act as first-line moderator for brand channels.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with PR, product, sales and leadership to align messaging and amplify earned media.
- Identify and prioritise events, industry forums and speaking opportunities; own pre- and post-event communications.
- Monitor performance and ROI: set KPIs, report on metrics (engagement, reach, web traffic, lead indicators) and iterate strategy based on insights.
- Maintain brand and editorial guidelines; build and govern a reusable asset library and template system.
- Manage vendor relationships (design, paid media, analytics) and, where applicable, manage budgets.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in social media or digital communications, with demonstrable results in B2B or technical sectors; aerospace/defence experience preferred.
- Proven track record of owning end-to-end social programs for corporate brands, including content production and creative oversight.
- Strong editorial skills with the ability to craft concise, authoritative copy for leadership audiences.
- Proficiency in design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma/Canva) and familiarity with basic motion graphics workflows (After Effects or equivalent).
- Experience with social management and analytics platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Analytics).
- Data-driven approach: ability to define KPIs, analyse performance and translate insights into tactical improvements.
- Excellent project management, stakeholder management and vendor management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, high standards for quality and the ability to operate under tight deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience in media relations, PR amplification and thought leadership programs.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for content repurposing.
- Experience managing paid social campaigns and budget allocation.
