Research Associate

Position Summary

We are seeking a Research Associate with hands-on laboratory experience in protein biochemistry and/or molecular biology. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative start-up environment and is eager to contribute directly to FL106’s scientific platform.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run experiments
• Design plasmids and expression constructs
• Amplify and purify nucleic acids
• Express, purify, and characterize proteins
• Measure protein binding with SPR, ITC, KinExa, and related techniques
• Conduct cell culture experiments, including cell line maintenance, transfection, and characterization
• Report results clearly to the scientific team

Key Qualifications

• A. or B.S. in biomedical engineering, physics, biophysics, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and/or biology
• 2+ years of industry experience
• Proven track record of research in the form of academic publications or patent filings
• Strong communicator and collaborative team player with keen attention to detail

The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $90,000. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. FL106 currently offers healthcare coverage, annual incentive program, retirement benefits and a broad range of other benefits. Compensation and benefits information is based on FL106's good faith estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future.
