General Description
Are you passionate about inspiring curiosity and making science fun? The Saskatchewan Science Centre is looking for enthusiastic Science Educators to engage kids, families, and communities through hands‑on science programs, exciting demonstrations, and interactive workshops across Saskatchewan! This is more than just a job — it’s an adventure! As a Science Educator, you’ll bring science to life through interactive programs, summer day camps, and engaging demonstrations at the Saskatchewan Science Centre, inspiring visitors of all ages. You’ll also travel across Saskatchewan delivering hands‑on workshops and thrilling science experiences to rural and remote communities. When traveling for outreach, all expenses, including accommodations, meals, and transportation, are covered.
Specific Responsibilities Deliver Engaging Science Programs Lead hands‑on workshops, interactive demonstrations, and stage shows for schools, community events, and visitors of all ages. Facilitate exciting summer programs both at the Science Centre and in rural communities across Saskatchewan. Engage and Inspire Audiences Bring exhibits to life through engaging interpretation and interactive experiences. Adapt lessons for different age groups and learning styles to create memorable STEM experiences. Travel & Outreach Deliver programs in schools, libraries, and community events across Saskatchewan, including rural and remote areas. You may need to travel for up to 5 days at a time. We will provide transportation, meals and accommodations. Support & Lead Staff Mentor and train other programming staff in program delivery and classroom management. Act as an ambassador for the Saskatchewan Science Centre throughout Saskatchewan. Contribute to Program Development Assist in developing and testing new activities to keep programs fresh, engaging, and educational. Provide feedback to improve programming based on audience engagement. And More! Jump into other exciting science‑related tasks and projects as needed. Who We’re Looking For

This position is contingent on grant funding. Applicants must meet the following requirements for employment:
Must be a full‑time student, returning to full‑time studies in the fall. Preference is given to those studying Education or a related field. Must be 30 years of age or younger at the beginning of the work term. Must have experience in teaching or coaching. Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and be able to provide a valid Criminal Record Check with vulnerable Sector Check.
