Lead Residential Framing Carpenter

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated experienced carpenter to join our new home construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry, concrete work, and general construction practices. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to deliver high-quality results. Candidates must be reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to our team’s success. All current required safety certifications for the province of Ontario are a must. Work vehicle and required tools are to be discussed. A valid Ontario driver's license is required.

Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects
• Perform concrete forming of footings and walls
• Perform all aspects of residential wood framing
• Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment safely and effectively
• Install siding, framing, and other structural components according to project specifications
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual labor as required for construction tasks
• Utilize woodworking skills for custom carpentry projects and repairs
• Follow safety protocols during all phases of construction work
• Assist in the setup and cleanup of job sites, maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Day to day management of the working crew you work with

Experience

• Proven experience in construction-related roles with a focus on framing carpentry, concrete footing and wall work
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings is highly desirable
• Hands-on experience with concrete forming, and the operation of heavy equipment is preferred
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment proficiently
• Prior experience in siding installation or related exterior construction is a plus
• Strong understanding of safety procedures in construction environments
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions for extended periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
