We’re looking for a motivated, customer-focused Sales Associate to help grow our business and deliver an exceptional shopping experience. As the face of our butcher shop, you’ll play a key role in driving sales through personalized service, strong product knowledge, and a genuine enthusiasm for quality meats and local products.

You’ll engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations that inspire their next meal, and ensure every interaction turns into a repeat visit. Strong product sales skills are a must and any meat knowledge is a bonus. Fluent English is a must.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by actively engaging with customers to promote and sell meat, poultry, and grocery products, offering tailored recommendations based on their needs and preferences.
  • Upsell and cross-sell specialty items, premium cuts, and weekly promotions with confidence, using strong product knowledge to boost average transaction value.
  • Deliver exceptional service at the register — process transactions accurately, manage cash tills efficiently, and ensure every customer leaves with a positive impression and intent to return.
  • Support daily operations by opening and closing the store according to established procedures, maintaining readiness for strong sales performance each day.
  • Fulfill retail and wholesale orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to meet customer expectations and strengthen business relationships.
  • Create an inviting shopping environment by maintaining clean, well-organized displays, eye-catching signage, and properly stocked shelves that drive impulse purchases.
  • Prepare and present products — weigh, package, label, and price meat and grocery items to highlight freshness, quality, and value.
  • Ensure product excellence through regular quality checks, ensuring all offerings meet freshness, appearance, and safety standards that build customer trust and loyalty.
  • Uphold food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean, professional workspace that reflects our commitment to quality and care.
  • This is a Thursday-Sunday Position with potential for more days.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, standing or walking for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and working in refrigerated areas.
  • Team player with leadership initiative — able to work both independently and collaboratively to meet sales and operational goals.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accurate labeling, pricing, and presentation of products.
  • Dependable and punctual, with reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  • Flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs demand.
  • Effective problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to stay organized and efficient during busy periods.
  • Strong math and communication abilities, both written and verbal, for handling transactions and coordinating with customers and colleagues.
  • Willingness to learn and build product knowledge, especially related to meat cuts, preparation methods, and customer preferences.
  • Physically capable of performing routine tasks including standing, moving, talking, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods.
