Job Description
Bookkeeping & Accounting Support
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry, transaction categorization, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Prepare and organize invoices, payment records, and vendor/customer documentation.
- Assist with month-end processes, including closing support, basic journal entries (as required), and documentation organization.
Reporting & Tools (Tech-Savvy Role)
- Confidently use QuickBooks Online to maintain ledgers, generate reports, and support efficient bookkeeping workflows.
- Utilize Excel to build and maintain trackers, perform reconciliations, and create summaries and basic analyses.
- Generate financial and operational reports as needed (e.g., sales summaries, vendor spend, customer aging reports).
- Communicate professionally via email with vendors, internal teams, and management.
Cross-Department Support (As Needed)
- Collaborate with other departments (sales, operations, procurement) on finance-related coordination.
- Help maintain organized processes, including trackers, filing systems, and documentation workflows to support overall productivity.
Who You Are (What We’re Looking For)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant (required).
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and accountable for accuracy.
- Professional, presentable, and knowledgeable in business etiquette and confidentiality standards.
- Eager to learn, proactive, and comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.
- Able to follow established processes while identifying opportunities for improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a bookkeeping or junior accounting role (5+ years preferred; strong candidates will be considered).
- Relevant educational background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (required).
- Excellent professional communication skills (email and basic phone etiquette).
- Ability to work onsite, full-time, in a structured office environment.
