Job Title: Senior Mechanical Designer (HVAC & Plumbing)
Location: Greater Vancouver, BC (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: CAD $90,000 – $120,000
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Designer with expertise in HVAC and Plumbing system design for commercial and institutional projects. The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD and Revit MEP skills and experience supporting projects from design through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, institutional, and multi-family projects.
- Prepare AutoCAD and Revit MEP models and construction drawings.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, consultants, and field teams.
- Support design-build projects from concept through construction.
- Review designs for constructability, coordination, and code compliance.
- Provide technical support during construction.
- Contribute to improving project quality and delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of HVAC and plumbing design experience.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Experience with commercial, institutional, light industrial, and multi-family projects.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and team-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of applicable building, plumbing, and HVAC codes and standards.
