Senior Backend Engineer - Python & FastAPI ( Document AI Systems )

• We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python and FastAPI to design and scale a document-processing backend capable of handling large and complex PDF workflows.
• The role focuses on building reliable, high-performance backend services that integrate with LLM APIs for AI-driven document classification, taxonomy-based validation, and compliance-oriented workflows.
• The candidate will design systems supporting asynchronous processing, background workers, audit trails, and data lineage while ensuring efficient handling of long-running workflows and exception management.
• Responsibilities include developing taxonomy-driven classification systems, implementing OCR-based document processing, assembling multi-page documents, and optimizing infrastructure and AI inference costs on Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with financial or compliance-driven systems and building scalable, production-ready backend architectures is highly preferred.
