Job description
Clean luxury. Better for you. At Everlane, we believe luxury should be as effortless as it is conscious. We partner with ethical factories, work with premium, sustainably sourced materials, and strive to leave the industry cleaner than we found it. There's still much to do, and we're excited to grow a team of motivated humans ready for the challenge. The journey toward better continues.
The Sustainability team at Everlane is responsible for developing and executing the sustainability strategy to ‘Keep Earth Clean, Keep Earth Cool, and Do Right by People’ across the company’s value chain and operations. Our strategy encompasses our social impact and environmental responsibility efforts and goals across the materials we use, the factories we partner with, the way our stores and offices operate, and how we foster thoughtful transparency throughout our supply chain. The team is highly cross-functional, collaborating regularly with Supply Chain and Product teams, Marketing and Creative, Retail Ops, EPDD, and external suppliers, vendors, and industry organizations.
The Senior Manager of Sustainability will report to the VP of Product Development and Sourcing and play a key role in driving the execution and evolution of Everlane’s sustainability strategy. You will focus on delivering against current commitments—including Renew, Organic Cotton, and carbon reduction—while supporting the development of future initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams.
You will work closely with Raw Materials, Product Development, Sourcing, Marketing, and external partners to integrate sustainability into product creation, vendor management, and brand storytelling. This role balances hands-on program ownership with cross-functional influence, ensuring sustainability goals are actionable, measurable, and embedded across the business.
Your day-to-day:
- Own the execution of Everlane’s sustainability roadmap across key pillars including climate, water, waste, and circularity
- Drive progress against existing commitments (e.g., Renew, Organic Cotton, carbon footprint reduction), ensuring clear tracking and accountability
- Translate high-level sustainability goals into actionable programs, timelines, and deliverables
- Partner with Raw Materials and Product Development to integrate lower-impact materials and processes into product lines
- Partner with factories, mills, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment with Everlane’s environmental and social standards
- Support and evolve vendor compliance programs, including data collection, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Own the development of quarterly and annual sustainability reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and clarity
- Support implementation and management of systems to track environmental and social compliance data
- Partner with Marketing and Creative to support sustainability storytelling, including updates to the sustainability website
- Collaborate with Workplace and Retail teams to embed sustainability practices across physical spaces
- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and leadership on progress and key initiatives
- Represent Everlane in industry conversations, conferences, and working groups as needed
- Stay informed on sustainability trends, innovations, and regulatory changes, bringing insights back to the business
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 7+ years of experience in sustainability, corporate responsibility or a related field
- Experience executing sustainability programs within supply chain, materials, or product-focused environments
- Working knowledge of environmental and social compliance frameworks and reporting standards
- Strong project management skills with the ability to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Feels comfortable speaking in large groups and with the press
- A natural love for market research and benchmarking and rigorous about staying informed on the latest technology and trends in sustainability
- Passionate about global sustainability and making a long-term impact in our climate
