Job Description

  • Partner with business leaders to translate business objectives into people strategies, including workforce planning, talent management, organizational effectiveness, and capability development.
  • Coach and influence leaders on performance management, leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and accountability to strengthen team performance and culture.
  • Identify talent and capability gaps and partner with Learning & Development to design and implement development initiatives, including onboarding, manager training, functional learning programs, and career development opportunities.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support workforce plans, candidate selection, offer development, and onboarding activities, ensuring timely staffing and a positive candidate and employee experience.
  • Collaborate with Total Rewards to support annual compensation processes and advise leaders on pay-for-performance practices, market competitiveness, and internal equity.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective actions, and terminations, ensuring fair, consistent application of policies, appropriate documentation, and escalation of complex issues when necessary.
  • Provide guidance on Costa Rica labor law and company policies, including employment contracts, working time regulations, leave and absence management, disciplinary processes, and regulatory changes.
  • Analyze workforce and HR metrics, including headcount, attrition, engagement, performance, and diversity data, to identify trends, recommend actions, and measure business impact.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts through effective communication, stakeholder alignment, partnership with shared services and HR Operations, and consistent execution of HR programs and processes.

Job Requirements:

Education / Experience / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-8 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including HR Business Partner or HR Generalist responsibilities supporting leaders and diverse employee populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence leaders across multiple organizational levels.
  • Broad knowledge of core HR disciplines, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, learning and development, performance management, and HR operations.
  • Working knowledge of Costa Rica labor law and employment practices, or the demonstrated ability to quickly acquire and apply that knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using HR metrics and workforce data to support business decision-making; advanced Excel proficiency preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional coaching certification (ICF or equivalent) or formal coaching certification and training.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
  • Experience applying workforce analytics or predictive HR insights, including attrition analysis, workforce planning, engagement trends, or related people analytics methodologies.
