Job Description

• System Maintenance: Administer Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) environments, ensuring high availability and performance
• Automation: Replace manual checklists with scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate user onboarding, patching, and backups
• Storage and Backup- Understanding of Storage technologies, migration hands on, backup scheduling
• Configuration Management: Use tools like Ansible or Puppet to ensure 100 servers have the exact same configuration without logging into them individually
• Monitoring & Logging: Set up centralized visibility using Nagios, Zabbix, or Datadog to catch outages before the helpdesk calls you.
• Security Patching: Manage automated update cycles to protect against vulnerabilities while minimizing downtime
• Performance Tuning: Optimizing system performance and fine-tuning performance parameters
• System availability: Maintain system compliance and uptime
• Troubleshooting issues: Troubleshoot issues leading to system degradation and outages
• Root cause analysis: Perform root cause analysis for P1 and P2 tickets
• Handling Tickets: Handling ITSM tickets pertaining to servers in scope and resolving within SLA
