- Storage and Backup- Understanding of Storage technologies, migration hands on, backup scheduling
- Configuration Management: Use tools like Ansible or Puppet to ensure 100 servers have the exact same configuration without logging into them individually
- Monitoring & Logging: Set up centralized visibility using Nagios, Zabbix, or Datadog to catch outages before the helpdesk calls you.
- Security Patching: Manage automated update cycles to protect against vulnerabilities while minimizing downtime
- Performance Tuning: Optimizing system performance and fine-tuning performance parameters
- System availability: Maintain system compliance and uptime
- Troubleshooting issues: Troubleshoot issues leading to system degradation and outages
- Root cause analysis: Perform root cause analysis for P1 and P2 tickets
- Handling Tickets: Handling ITSM tickets pertaining to servers in scope and resolving within SLA
