Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant (Oklahoma City, OK)

We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing Hospice Company for our Oklahoma City, OK region.

Responsibilities:

• Manages 5 - 6 patient visits per day.
• Provides or assists in ADL activities; personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails. 
• Provides assistance in toileting, positioning and transfer activities, frequent turning and positioning of a bed bound resident/patient. 
• Assists with the prescribed exercise and ROM activities which the resident/patient and Hospice aide have been taught by the Hospice Nurse. 
• Assists with light housekeeping of individual's personal unit or room, including changing of bed linen and patient’s laundry.
• Feeds and assists with meals.
• Reports any changes in resident's/patient's condition to the Nurse 

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid CNA license in the state of OK.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable mode of transportation
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Meets the training requirements of the State.
• Meets the training requirements of the State. 
• Completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.  Sixteen hours of classroom must be completed prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training. 
• At least 18 years of age. 
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given. 
• Understands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill. 
• Satisfactory references from previous employers. 
• Is self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.  Secure with issues of death/dying.  Provides a calm manner when in a patient’s home. 
• Has empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired. 
• Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene. 
• Licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with organization requirements and is in good working order. 
• Successfully completes a probationary period.  This probationary period is to ensure the aide is competent in the above qualifications and is documented by the supervisor and the employee. 

Starting rate: $16.00/hr
