Your Contribution:

Your Contribution

  • Lead and support natural environment projects, including environmental assessments, ecological studies, and permitting assignments;
  • Conduct wetland delineations and functional assessments, and support wetland alteration applications, compensation strategies, and restoration plans;
  • Complete watercourse and fish habitat assessments, and support watercourse alteration permitting;
  • Perform species at risk screenings, habitat assessments, ecological constraints analyses, and impact evaluations for development projects;
  • Plan and coordinate field programs, including desktop reviews, site preparation, data collection, GPS/GIS documentation, and field reporting;
  • Analyze field data and prepare high-quality technical reports, permit applications, environmental protection plans, and mitigation measures;
  • Support environmental assessment processes, including baseline studies, constraints mapping, impact assessment, and regulatory documentation;
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify environmental constraints and develop practical design and permitting solutions;
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and support project delivery, proposal development, client communication, and small-to-medium project management (scope, schedule, budget, quality);
  • Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules across all field, office, and project activities.

Your Profile:

What makes you unique

  • University degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field;
  • Minimum ~5 years of experience in natural environment, ecological, or environmental consulting;
  • Qualified and experienced in wetland delineations and functional assessments (Nova Scotia experience preferred);
  • Experience completing watercourse and fish habitat assessments and supporting permitting processes;
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting frameworks, and assessment requirements;
  • Proven ability to prepare technical reports, permit applications, mitigation plans, and environmental documentation;
  • Experience with species at risk, habitat assessments, ecological fieldwork, and environmental constraints analysis;
  • Strong field skills, including vegetation identification, soil/hydrology interpretation, habitat characterization, and GPS data collection;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks, coordinate field programs, and deliver high-quality, defensible work;
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively, and willingness to travel with a valid driver’s license.
