Job description
GENERAL SUMMARY
Lead compliance program activities for the New Nuclear organization to ensure alignment with applicable federal, state, local, and organizational requirements. Own and improve procedures, processes, and compliance programs, providing authoritative guidance and resolving complex governance issues. Plan and lead assessments, audits, and effectiveness reviews to identify risks, verify program performance, and drive corrective and preventive actions. Mentor and coach team members and stakeholders, fostering a culture of compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Program Leadership and Governance: Lead compliance program oversight, monitor regulatory changes, evaluate impacts to organizational processes, and recommend strategic actions; serve as procedure owner/SME to ensure governance documents align with regulatory and organizational standards.
Assessments, Audits, and Corrective Action Leadership: Plan and lead compliance reviews, audits, and program evaluations; document results, identify deficiencies, and drive effective corrective and preventive actions; verify completion and effectiveness to sustain compliance.
Procedures, Documentation, and Issue Resolution: Develop, approve, implement, and maintain procedures, policies, and governance documents; resolve complex procedural issues and provide authoritative interpretation to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement, Training, and Mentoring: Provide advanced consultation and training; mentor junior and mid‑level compliance staff, review work products, and support capability development across the organization; coordinate with internal business units and regulatory interfaces.
External Collaboration and Representation: Coordinate with suppliers and external agencies as required to support audits, inspections, and organizational initiatives; promote a strong compliance culture and continuous improvement practices.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Compliance Specialist III
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in compliance, auditing, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, governance, procurement compliance, contract administration, or related disciplines;
OR Associate’s degree and a minimum of seven (7) years of the relevant experience described above;
OR High school diploma or GED and a minimum of nine (9) years of the relevant experience described above.
Compliance Specialist II
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in compliance, auditing, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, governance, procurement compliance, contract administration, or related disciplines;
OR Associate’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years of the relevant experience described above;
OR High school diploma or GED and a minimum of seven (7) years of the relevant experience described above.
PAY RANGE
Compliance Specialist III Salary Range: $109,870 - $164,806
Midpoint: $137,338
Compliance Specialist II Salary Range: $95,532 - $143,298
Midpoint: $199,415
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
INCENTIVE COMPENSATION
This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
