Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Instructor

We are seeking qualified professional trainers who can deliver a fantastic group workout experience to our members. The instructor will lead members, in a group environment, through a pre-arranged format of exercises designed to enhance overall fitness, strength, and endurance, while ensuring that the safety of our members is not compromised. The fitness Instructor will also serve as a resource to educate members on various aspects of fitness, increases member retention and new member enrollment, stays current on latest health and fitness trends, maintains personal commitment to fitness, maintains highest level of professional ethics and compliance with all policies and procedures, looks professional with good hygiene, and always on time.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Delivers entertaining, motivational, safe, educational, and professional predesigned workout classes to ensure clients are satisfied with their workout program and remain motivated to attain their personal fitness goals.
• Serves as a performer and entertainer throughout the entire class that is dedicated to energize and motivate members throughout the sessions.
• Meets daily class attendance goals and completes all administrative duties as required for this role.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and required workshops.
• Proficiency in developing curated playlists to match workouts and clientele for classes.
• Provides excellent customer service by promptly responding to member needs, concerns, and questions and develops positive relationships with participants by leading inspiring, challenging and entertaining boxing, and fitness classes and engaging in conversation before and after classes.

Basic Qualifications

• Current Personal Trainer or Primary Group Exercise Instructor
• Basic knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized
• Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
• 1+ years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry, boxing, kickboxing or other Martial Arts
• 1+ years of experience with consultative fitness sales
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR/AED Certification
• Boxing or combat sports experience (teaching, fighting, or coaching)
• Certified personal training certification from select accredited certifying bodies, limited to ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA, or AFAA.
• Bachelor’s degree in an exercise related field
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
• 3-5+ years of experience as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, coach, or fighter (combined experience will be considered)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $55.00 per hour
