Hybrid Onsite Every Other Week in Westlake, TX

The role focuses on translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions across the Power Platform with emphasis on Power BI platform engineering, governance, and automation. The position will design and manage data pipelines, integrate data across systems, and implement AI-enabled capabilities to improve monitoring, analytics, and adoption. The individual will collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing Business Intelligence platform services. The work will include DevOps practices, data modeling, and enterprise-scale content management.

Rate: $53.00 to $63.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities

  • Assemble business requirements and translate them into technical system and process solutions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, validation, and publishing.
  • Integrate data from multiple systems into centralized reporting platforms with a focus on data quality.
  • Develop and optimize Power BI semantic models, DAX, reports, and dashboards to meet enterprise performance standards.
  • Implement AI-enabled capabilities for monitoring dashboards, gateway health analytics, usage insights, and automated alerting.
  • Leverage Power BI Copilot and AI visuals to accelerate development and enhance analytics through natural language and predictive features.
  • Establish and enforce Power BI governance, data security, sensitivity labels, and RLS/OLS.
  • Support platform-level activities including disaster recovery, gateway monitoring, version upgrades, and tenant feature evaluation.
  • Apply DevOps practices such as CI/CD to BI platform assets and data pipelines.
  • Automate workflows using Power Platform, PowerShell, and REST APIs to improve operations and data quality.
  • Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements, conduct product demos, and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Drive process improvements using industry best practices and coordinate effectively with partners and peers.

Experience Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile software development.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and relational database fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in data modeling and defining relationships between data objects.
  • Ability to design and maintain end-to-end data pipelines.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple systems into centralized reporting platforms with attention to data quality.
  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience with Business Intelligence tools.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI development including semantic model design, advanced DAX, report and dashboard development, and performance optimization.
  • Experience developing AI-enabled applications supporting Power BI such as monitoring dashboards, gateway health analytics, usage and adoption insights, and automated alerting.
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI within Power BI including Power BI Copilot, AI visuals, natural language Q&A, and predictive analytics.
  • Understanding of Power BI governance, data security, sensitivity labels, RLS/OLS, and enterprise-scale content management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric components such as Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, Pipelines, and Lakehouse (preferred).
  • Experience supporting disaster recovery, gateway monitoring, version upgrade validations, and tenant feature evaluation.
  • Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Terraform.
  • Experience with Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
  • Ability to automate workflows and integrate AI into platform operations for validation, intelligent monitoring, and data quality scoring.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with business teams to gather requirements, conduct product demos, and deliver solutions.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with partners, business analysts, developers, and peers.
  • Demonstrated commitment, initiative, and vision with a passion for improvement.
  • Experience implementing process improvements using industry best practices.
