Elevanti is a small, women-owned B2B strategy and business development consultancy. We partner with business owners and executive teams to eliminate growth plateaus, optimize operations and build high-impact strategic marketing and revenue frameworks. Our engagements typically range from 6 to 12 months in duration with an average contract value (ACV) of $30,000 to $60,000.
Our delivery team consists of senior, deeply experienced consultants with immediate capacity to onboard and execute for new concurrent clients. We have the infrastructure and a proven methodology; we are looking for a true partner to expand our market footprint.
THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced 1099 Business Development Partner to own outbound prospecting, qualification and deal closure for new client engagements. This is a pure hunting role, you own the pipeline from first contact through signed contract. Our internal delivery team handles 100% of the fulfillment.
This is not a casual side-hustle posting. We are looking for one serious, sophisticated sales professional who wants to build a highly lucrative portfolio, not 10 people sending automated LinkedIn spam.
IDEAL CLIENT PROFILE (ICP)
- Company Size: $2M – $20M in annual revenue.
- Decision-Maker: CEO, Founder or Managing Partner.
- Buying Triggers: Companies struggling to scale past a revenue plateau, experiencing operational friction from rapid growth, or needing high-level strategic direction without the overhead of a full-time W-2 executive.
- Geography: US-based.
COMPENSATION — NO AMBIGUITY, NO MOVING GOALPOSTS
You earn 30% of the gross margin on every deal you close. Gross margin is defined transparently as: total contract value minus direct delivery costs (subcontractor execution labor and specific software tools only, no overhead allocation, no internal corporate expenses, no creative accounting).

PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS & PAYMENT TERMS
- Average Sales Cycle: 30–60 days.
- Realistic Earnings Range: $75,000 – $150,000+ (Based on closing 1-2 mid-market engagements per quarter).
- Commissions are paid within 15 business days of Elevanti receiving payment from the client. For monthly retainers, commissions are paid monthly within 15 days of invoice clearance.
- No clawbacks after the initial 30-day client onboarding window.
- No holdbacks, no caps and no moving goalposts. A formal, written commission agreement is fully executed before any prospecting begins.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build and manage your own outbound pipeline using your existing network, executive relationships and targeted professional outreach.
- Run discovery calls and qualify opportunities against our ICP before looping in our strategy team.
- Own the proposal presentation and negotiation through to a signed contract.
- Coordinate a clean handoff to our delivery team post-signature; you are completely insulated from fulfillment responsibilities.
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- Minimum 5 years of 1099 or W2 B2B sales experience closing high-ticket service contracts ($25K+).
- Demonstrated success selling consulting, professional services, agency contracts or fractional leadership, not transactional SaaS.
- An active, established network of business owners, founders or C-suite executives.
- The ability to navigate a consultative sales cycle entirely independently. We provide premium collateral and structural support, not hand-holding.
- References from at least two prior principals or clients who can speak directly to your integrity and closed deal volume.
GROWTH PATH (WITH REAL MILESTONES)
We intend to transition the right partner into a retained, long-term leadership model. These milestones are written into our initial partner agreement, not left as verbal promises:
- At $150K Closed ARR: A formal conversation opens to transition you to a written monthly retainer offer ($/month base + adjusted commission structure).
- At $300K Closed ARR: A formal equity/profit-share discussion opens, with a structured options proposal presented in writing within 30 days of hitting this threshold.
