About the Role

Ehrhardt Brothers Quality Plumbing is hiring a Plumber Helper to support our experienced plumbers on residential and commercial service jobs across Howard County. This isn't a "day one in the trades" role — we're looking for someone with at least 9 months of field experience who's already gotten real reps with gas and electric water heaters and is building genuine confidence on the job.

What You'll Do

Water Heater Support (Primary)

• Assist on gas and electric water heater installs, replacements, and repairs
• Apply your reps to help with diagnostics, prep, and troubleshooting under the lead's direction
• Build deeper expertise in residential water heater work

General Plumbing & Gas Support

• Support lead plumbers and gas fitters on service calls
• Run materials, prep job sites, and keep jobs moving
• Help with fixture installs, faucet and toilet repairs, basic drain work, and routine plumbing service
• Maintain truck stock and job readiness

Customer & Team

• Communicate professionally and respectfully in customers' homes and businesses
• Work cleanly, safely, and with attention to detail
• Take direction well and contribute to a positive team culture
• Help build long-term customer relationships based on trust and quality work

What We're Looking For

• At least 9 months of plumbing field experience (residential preferred)
• Hands-on reps with gas and electric water heaters
• Growing confidence working independently on assigned tasks
• Willingness to learn from experienced plumbers and take direction
• Reliable, hardworking, and dependable
• Strong communication and professionalism
• Commitment to safety and quality
• Physical stamina for demanding fieldwork in varied environments
• Valid driver's license
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
