Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Communications Manager located in Mumbai.

The Communications

Manager will lead the development and implementation of communication strategies to enhance Educate Girls’ brand presence and engagement with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include creating compelling content for internal and external audiences, overseeing external communications, media relations, and public relations activities, and managing social media and digital campaigns. Additional tasks include coordinating with internal teams for consistent messaging, preparing reports, and building partnerships that underscore Educate Girls' mission and impact.

Qualifications

  • Content and Messaging: Proficiency in content creation, copywriting, editing, and storytelling to communicate the organization’s mission effectively.
  • Digital and Social Media Expertise: Hands-on experience in developing and managing social media campaigns, website content management, and digital marketing strategy.
  • Public Relations and Media Management: Understanding of media relations, press outreach, and building relationships with stakeholders to enhance brand visibility.
  • Strategic Communication: Skills in developing and implementing communication plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Strong ability to work cross-functionally with teams, lead projects, and mentor junior staff.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Experience in tracking and analyzing communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the education sector in India or experience in the non-profit sector; Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Additional Preferred Skills: Basic graphic design knowledge, familiarity with digital tools like Canva, WordPress, or similar platforms, and proficiency with CRM software.
