Ecolab is seeking an Assembler II to join our team in Elk Grove Village, IL. In this hands-on role, you’ll take your mechanical and electrical assembly skills to the next level—building, inspecting, and restoring equipment that supports clean water, safe food, abundant energy, and healthy environments. You’ll work with precision and care, using hand and power tools to assemble components to exact specifications. You’ll also help identify and resolve technical issues, contribute to continuous improvement, and support your team in delivering high-quality results. 

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Assemble mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components with precision, following close tolerances and exact specifications 

  • Perform assigned remanufacturing operations including disassembly, minor repairs, sorting, cleaning, and inspection of small dispensing units, industrial dish machines, or major subassemblies 

  • Use fixtures, hand tools, and power tools to complete repetitive assembly tasks accurately and efficiently 

  • Follow process and specification sheets with consistency to ensure quality and compliance 

  • Perform hydraulic and electrical checks to confirm equipment is functioning safely and reliably 

  • Identify and resolve basic technical issues using problem-solving tools and implement short-term corrective actions 

  • Complete labor reporting and recordkeeping with attention to detail 

  • Communicate proactively about maintenance needs, quality concerns, or safety issues 

  • Support the development of others by sharing knowledge and assisting with training 

  • Step in wherever needed to help the team meet its goals and deliver on shared commitments 

Position Details: 

  • Plant Location:  Elk Grove Village, IL

  • Work Week & Shift:  Mon - Thurs 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • High School diploma or equivalent  

  • One year of previous work manufacturing or warehouse experience 

  • Experience using hand and power tools

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • Basic math ability 

  • Collaborative and team-orientated 

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment 

  • Time-management and communication skills 

Physical Requirements of Position:  

  • Lifting/carrying 50lbs 

  • Standing upwards of 10 hours

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

The pay range for this role is $19.30 to $28.95 per hour. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
